DIVING INTO NIVVERSE !

It's story time !

translating ideas into a form.

As a child I wasn’t preoccupied with calling myself an artist or what art materials were or were not. I explored with the curiosity of a scientist and boldness of youth. My love for crayons and colors started from drawing of a girl as a little kid in my father’s diary. I painted bold patterns on our walls expanding my drawings into the world around me. I look back on these moments as an essential time where I learned on how to explore and to be comfortable following my intuition. I’m sure my parents are relieved that I’ve moved on from destroying their property , but those fundamental lessons remain with me.

honouring my interests.

I’ve learnt to be visually curious over time . I realized that we aren’t bound by others definitions of creativity. Listening to my work , instincts and to the world has pushed me to be what I am now. For me , drawing was a key that unlocked the world. It’s a way of thinking and processing information that melds my brain and my hand , letting me find a profound experience in the unexpected moments of focus while making.

finding my community.

Art and Design is a language to me . It can create a space to share and transcend boundaries. Over time I also learnt that my interests and voice won’t resonate with everyone around me . So I’d invest in those who supported my voice and my mission. Finding mentors , critics or even collaborators and keeping myself open to those who can contribute to my life in new ways became important to me.
